Summer Research Scholarships 2025/2026

Experience research in business, government and law, and get paid to learn

The faculty summer research program, offers current BGL undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in a paid research project.  The program allows you to:

  • contribute to a meaningful research project in your area of interest
  • collaborate with active researchers for approximately 4 to 8 weeks during vacation time between November and February
  • experience an exciting and stimulating environment and get inspired
  • receive a tax-free scholarship of $2,200 - $4,400 (stipend is determined by each project) and decide if research is something you want to pursue

Program details

The program will be run over two defined periods with a kick-off event and end of project presentation event.

Project duration and timing: 8 weeks over two four-week blocks; 24/11/25 – 19/12/25 and 5/1/26 – 30/1/2026

OR 4 weeks in either of the two four week blocks.

Scholarship value: 8 weeks $4,400 or 4 weeks $2,200

  • The specific timing of projects will be negotiable between the successful applicant and the supervising academic.
  • Scholarship payments will be made in one payment in mid-December 2025.

Eligibility

To be eligible, students need to:

  • be enrolled in an undergraduate degree offered in the Faculty of Business, Government and Law
  • be enrolled at the University full-time
  • have at least one more semester to complete in their course
  • have completed a minimum of 36 credit points in total by the date of application
  • have achieved a minimum GPA of 5.5
